🌿 Name: Whale Playground
🌏 Location: Scarborough Foreshore
✔️ Good: Large whale themed playground, includes huge whale skeleton with climbing net across its top, tube slide and swing log underneath. Whale head slide. Monkey bars and net swing. Wooden shack with lookout over the ocean, includes climbing net down and underneath play area with giant play eggs. Lots of shade, picnic tables, toilets. Close by to a newly built skate ramp, basketball court and climbing wall with soft fall and competitive skate bowl called ‘skate pit’ for advanced skaters.
✖️ Not so good: Close to a busy road. Can get busy on weekends.
☕️ Coffee: Monty’s cafe, Health Freak Cafe, Dome and The Wild fig are close by for coffees.
🍴 Cafe/Restaurants: Lots of eateries along the foreshore we love The Wild Fig. They have a great kids menu $10 and under.
👶🏼 Ages: 2 + Some play areas are quite high so better suited for older kids.
