Shipwreck Park, Hilbert

🌿 Name: Shipwreck Park

🌏 Location: Corner of Forrest Road and Eleventh Road, Sienna Wood, Hilbert.

About 30km south of Perth.

✔️ Good: Fenced, large grassed area, lots of parking, toilets, BBQ’s, water and nature play, lots of climbing features, flying fox, in built trampolines, musical instruments and nature play.

As well as ping pong and a basketball court for older kids. The big feature is a massive 30 metre shipwreck boat – perfect for little adventurers!

✖️ Not so good: The slides are metal so be careful on hot days.

☕️ Coffee: Cafe is going to be built next to the playground.

👶🏼 Ages: toddler – big kids

👩🏽 Mum score 5/5.

Yallingup Foreshore Playground

🌿 Name: Yallingup Playground

🌍 Location: Yallingup Beach Road/Foreshore, Yallingup

✔️ Good: Huge wooden nature playground, the main feature being a large elevated cubby shack joined with a rope bridge and rope net underneath, with stunning views over Yallingup beach. Other features include climbing walls, swings, crawl though tunnel, tube slide, play surfboard, giant wave to crawl under and climb over, and large sandpit. This playground is guaranteed to wear your kids out as they will want to explore and climb for hours! It has lots of natural shade as it is surrounded by established trees. There are picnic tables, water fountains, car parking and toilets close by.

✖️ Not so good: The playground is more suitable for older children (3+) as it has elevated areas, so younger children will need to be supervised. (There are safer ground play areas for younger children). The playground is unfenced and in a popular tourist location in Yallingup close to a busy carpark.

☕️ Coffee: Shaana beachside café opposite the carpark. We grabbed icy poles for the kids.

🍴 Cafe/Restaurants: Shaana café serves breakfast and lunch. It serves aussie beach café food combined with Italian cuisine.

🏼 Ages: Climbing play areas- 3yrs +

Smaller ground play areas- Crawlers +

Braithwaite Park Adventure Playground, Mount Hawthorn

This playground may have taken over as our all time favourite playground. I know I say this regularly but my two had so much fun exploring here today, they particularly loved the nature teepees and so did I!

🌿 Name: Braithwaite Park Adventure Playground

🌍 Location: 197 Scarborough Beach Road, Mount Hawthorn

✔️ Good: Large nature playground and also a smaller area nearby for younger children. Lots of shade and areas for the kids to explore and climb, water play and an awesome double flying fox! Plus it is fully fenced – yay!

✖️ Not so good: The playground can get busy at time because it is such a great spot! It is suitable for older children so younger children will need to be supervised as there are lots of high rope climbs.

☕️ Coffee: Yelo can’t be beaten for great coffees. Text your order on the way 😀

🍴 Cafe/Restaurants: Casa Bianci and Missy Moos Burger Bar are close by for a yummy after play meal.

👶🏼 Ages: Nature reserve- 3yrs +

Smaller play area- Crawlers +

Sam’s Playground at Warradale Park, Landsdale

This incredible playground opened last year as is dedicated to Sam Trott and the Landsdale community ❤️

This is one of our favourite playgrounds. It’s the only autism friendly playground in Perth. My two loved it. Definitely one for the school holiday list ☀️

🌿 Name: Sam’s Playground Warradale Park

🌏 Location: 124 Warradale Terrace, Landsdale

✔️ Good: Large fully fenced and double gated playground with water play, sensory play, nature play, slides, nest swing, sand digger, picnic tables, grassed area plus lots of shade from shade sails and trees. A path wraps around the park suitable for scooters

✖️ Not so good: Toilets at clubrooms open occasionally, parking is quite far away, no BBQS.

☕️ Coffee🍴 Cafe/Restaurants: Food trucks are often at this park. Kingsway Tavern is nearby.

👶🏼 Ages: All ages. Pack spare clothes the kids loved the water play 💦

👫 Kids score: 👍

👩🏽 Mummy score: 5/5 loved it!

There is also another nature playground on the other side of Warradale Park 👍
